Abdul Majeed Warris has joined French Ligue 1 side Nantes on a loan deal with an option toake the deal permanent at the end of the season.

The 26 year old striker has made a return to France after failing to secure a first team spot with Portuguese side FC Porto last season.

The Ghana international has put pen-to-paper after completing formalities on Monday.

He is expected to revive his career in the Lique after his struggles at the Dragões.

The Ghana international signed a four-year deal with the Dragons this summer but has been forced to move out after he was left out of the squad for the new season by manager Sergio Conceicao.

Nantes have stolen the march off Saint-Etienne to prize the former FC Lorient and Valenciennes striker away.

Waris struggled to churn out regular playing time when he joined Porto on loan in January making only five appearances.
