OFFICIAL: Barcelona sign Coutinho from Liverpool worth £146m
Barcelona have confirmed they have finally got their man after agreeing a deal to sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
The Brazilian will sign a five-year deal with the club which will contain a release clause of €400 million.
The biggest deal of the January transfer window has come to fruition, after Liverpool and Barcelona confirmed they have agreed the transfer of Philippe Coutinho.
After a series of failed bids last summer, speculation has been mounting in recent weeks and the two clubs have now agreed a fee that could be worth up to £142million.
That would make the Brazilian the second-most expensive players of all-time, following his countryman Neymar, who left the Nou Camp for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
And while Liverpool have already spent big in this window bringing in Virgil van Dijk in a £75million deal, what does this mean for Jurgen Klopp’s top four hopes?
The club are yet to confirm when he will be presented, those details will follow, and they are also yet to state the fee although it’s said to be £142m.
