Lionel Messi coming to P.S.G Down to money – Di Maria
Angel Di Maria thinks if Lionel Messi would make a move it will be down to finances and said that Paris-Saint Germain can compete with any club in the world on that front for him.
“I hope that Paris-Saint Germain can bring Lionel Messi to Paris one day,” Di Maria told RMC. “Everything is possible in football. It is all about the money. It would take a lot of money to sign such a world class player.
“It would be great for Ligue 1 and French football in general if Lionel Messi joins the French League. Paris Saint Germain have the resources and finances to sign him. Messi could come to Paris.”
The Barcelona player’s future is somewhat uncertain as his club seek to retain the services of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Suarez amid interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
Regarding who will win the Ballon d’Or when it is announced on Jan. 11, Di Maria favoured Barca’s No. 10 to take home the award that Cristiano Ronaldo won for his 2014 campaign.
“Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar all scored a lot of goals and had spectacular years,” Di Maria said. “But the Champions League often plays a big role in who wins it and Barcelona won that competition.
“Cristiano Ronaldo also had a good season. But it is not as much as [the] other favorites.”
“That’s why I think Messi has the best chance. He won the treble and has a good chance.
