Mohammedan Sporting Club picked up their first win of the of the 2018 Bordoloi Trophy with a 1-0 win over Assam Police Blues on Sunday.

Ghanaian wonder kid Philip Tetteh Adjah scored the only goal of the day in the 18th minute at Nalbari’s Mukalmua Stadium.

Mohammedan SC looked more useful in the early minutes of the games with excellent runs and skills from fellow Ghanaian David Asamoah.

The Black Panthers dominated most in the center half of their opponent.
A brilliant solo effort by David Asamoah to find Philip Adjah with a clinical finish broke the virginity of the game for Mohammedan the 18th minute.

After the one goal courtesy Philip, they created more goal scoring opportunities to increase their tally but weren’t able to utilize their chances.

Assam came back stronger in the second half of the game but the defense of Mohammedan kept on their excellent display.They threw more men forward to increase their chances of getting an equalizer but it proved futile.

In the dying moments of the game, skipper of the side Philip Adjah converted a free kick which hit the crossbar.

They walked away smiling with all three maximum points.

Mohammedan SC will take on Barhoongkha FC next on October 31st at the same venue.
