Arsene Wenger: I regret selling Fabregas
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed his frustration and anger at allowing his midfielder to leave for Barcelona four years ago as he prepares to face him this weekend but hopes fans respect him in their clash with Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger has admitted he always regrets about his decision allowing Cesc Fabregas to leave but has called on arsenal fans to respect the midfielder on Sunday when they met in the premiership.
“My regret is allowing him leaving here,” He said. “But I want every player to be respected.”
Arsene Wenger has in the past suggested he doesn’t wish he had tried to swoop for Fabregas because he wasn’t ready to allow his midfielder to join the blues who are now in the pool position to be crowned English champions but has stressed he always feel the pain of seeing the midfielder play for Chelsea.
The arsenal boss also suggested he expects his star attacker Alexis Sanchez to give the likes of Eden Hazard (Chelsea) , David de Gea (Man. utd), Harry Kane (spurs) , Diego Costa (Chelsea) , and Philippe Coutinho( Chelsea) a run for their money in the Player of the Year awards.
“It’s Alexis Sanchez’s first season in the premiership so he will have to compete very closely with Hazard for Player of the Year,” Wenger added. Check this : Top 10 Highest Paid Footballers in E.P.L 2015
Alexis has enjoyed a brilliant debut season at the Emirates following his €40 million move from Spanish side Barcelona, scoring 22 goals in all competitions and providing 11 assists, while Hazard has found the net 18 times and assisting 14 for Chelsea.
